MVT CID Relocates & Expands Tunes in the Triangle Free Concert Series in 2017

The Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (MVT CID) has increased the number of free Tunes in the Triangle summer concerts, now in their third season, announcing six evenings of live music and a new venue — the plaza at 5th & K Streets, NW. The concerts, which showcase local artists of genres ranging from pop to singer/songwriters to island rhythms, will feature both returning and new artists to the series. Tunes in the Triangle will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, are free, and guests are encouraged to pick up a sandwich or meal at one of the many nearby restaurants, pull up one of the MVT CID’s brightly colored café chairs and enjoy the music with friends, family, kids and pets.

Thursday, May 25: The Perfectionists (blues/rock)
Thursday, June 8: Justin Trawick (in photo) (Americana/folk rock)
Thursday, June 22: Alison Carney (singer/songwriter)
Thursday, July 6: Pebble To Pearl (funk/rock/blues)
Thursday, July 20: Phil Kominski (solo/acoustic)
Tuesday, August 1: Eastern Standard Time (Caribbean Beat) Note: this event will be held in conjunction with National Night Out – location TBD
