They’re Here: Welcome to the Neighborhood 2fifty BBQ!
Friday January 12, 2024
Mark your calendars:
we’ve received official word that 2fifty BBQ has been cleared for liftoff and will be opening its doors at 414 K Street NW at 11am this Saturday, January 13. And it’s best to get in line early because they’re going to sell out fast!
We’re thrilled that co-owners and husband & wife team Fernando González and Debby Portillo González chose our neighborhood to expand into Washington, DC from their original Riverdale Park, Maryland location that recently landed in the top 20 of Southern Living’s list of “The South’s Top 50 Barbecue Joints of 2023.” Their Mount Vernon Triangle location will feature the same high-quality meats smoked low and slow at the restaurant’s namesake temperature of 250 degrees using only oak wood fire as fuel. Customers will be able to order meats priced by the pound along with rotating sides often inspired by the González’s Salvadorian roots.
MVT CID’s Kenyattah Robinson swung by the shop earlier this week to welcome co-owners Debby, Fernando, and the entire 2fifty BBQ team to #LifeInMVT and drop off one of our signature neighborhood prints created by Terratorie Maps + Goods. We’re so glad you’re here and can’t wait to tuck into a tray of brisket!
