MVT CID Organizational Update & Request for Your Survey Feedback
Thursday August 27, 2020
Lots has changed since the framework Mount Vernon Triangle Action Agenda was established in 2003, we last reached out for feedback during our most recent Perception Survey check-in last December, and COVID-19’s arrival made the entire world a much more socially distant place. For that reason, the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (MVT CID) is embarking on a comprehensive process to update our strategic plan. Last updated in 2016, the goal of this current strategic plan update is to create a roadmap for managing through both near-term challenges and needs as well as our civic, infrastructure, social service and internal management requirements as we continue to grow and mature as a community. Led by MVT CID staff, the effort includes oversight involvement from the MVT CID Board of Directors as well as guidance from a third-party expert with proven experience in leading similar projects for other noteworthy local nonprofit organizations.
As a stakeholder-driven, Member-led organization, we believe strongly in the value of community feedback to help inform all aspects of the services that we provide. That’s why we invite your participation in this anonymous 10-15 minute survey to help identify key challenges, gaps, opportunities and implementation actions that will inform the overall vision, strategy and multi-year priorities needed to fulfill our mission. We will finalize our work by the end of this calendar year, and final recommendations and priorities considered for implementation will be shared openly in a public-facing document.
Creating a plan that represents and benefits the full spectrum of interests and organizations that exist within our diverse community requires everyone’s participation. So, thank you for being an integral part of this process. Should you have any questions about this survey or would like to discuss further, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@mvtcid.org. We greatly appreciate your continued support of both our neighborhood and MVT CID. And please continue to be safe and stay together.
SPECIAL INVITATION FOR MVT RESIDENTS: In addition to the survey, we are looking for six (6) Mount Vernon Triangle residents to participate in a focus group open dialogue on Thursday, September 3 from 5-6:30pm. Slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested in participating, please email info@mvtcid.org and include your full name and the name of your Mount Vernon Triangle residential building.
