2fifty BBQ Launches Summer Menu & So Much More!

Thursday March 27, 2025

When it comes to cooking, 2fifty BBQ’s methods might be low and slow, but co-owners Fernando Gonzalez and Debby Portillo Gonzalez have certainly been keeping their schedules booked and busy! This past month alone, they participated on a “Conflict Cuisine Panel” at American University to explore identity, culture, and community through food, traveled to Luck Texas to cook for country music legend Willie Nelson during his annual Luck Reunion and Farm Aid benefit event, and journeyed to Mendoza, Argentina, to attend the prestigious Smoke & Fire Master Class from which Fernando brought back new techniques like wire roasting and cooking in the embers to infuse into the new Spring/Summer menu! Get a taste of the tropics with inspired menu items like Wire Roasted Chicken with Rosemary – served with Almond Lemonette, Pineapple Ribs, Sunset Roasted Cabbage, and Bonfire Beets all cooked low and slow over real wood.

2Fifty BBQ is located at 414 K Street NW and is open 11am-7pm Wednesday through Monday.
