Madrigal Lofts Opens in Mount Vernon Triangle
(Washington, D.C.) Madrigal Lofts has opened at 811 4th Street NW in Mount Vernon Triangle. This is the second residential building in Mount Vernon Place, the 2.1-million-square-foot project being developed by Quadrangle Development Corporation and The Wilkes Company.
“We are very proud of our latest addition to Mount Vernon Place and of the role we continue to play, with others, in the development of Mount Vernon Triangle,” stated Charles “Sandy” Wilkes, chairman of The Wilkes Company. “Madrigal Lofts is a particularly good choice for people who are tired of the commute and want to live downtown.”
Located half a block from Massachusetts Avenue, the 12-story, loft-style condominium was designed by the architectural firm Davis, Carter, Scott Ltd. All units have 10-foot-high ceilings. Stylish blue balcony lights punctuate the skyline, distinguishing the building from others downtown.
“Madrigal Lofts is urban living at its best,” stated Robert Gladstone, chairman of Quadrangle Development Corporation. “The location is a short walk from Chinatown, restaurants, galleries, concert and sports venues, al fresco dining and more.”
The fourth new residential building to be completed in Mount Vernon Triangle, Madrigal Lofts adds 259 units to this burgeoning neighborhood just north of downtown. When Mount Vernon Triangle is fully built out, there will be a total of 2,300,000 square feet of new office space, 1,200 new rental apartments, 4,500 new condos, 600 new hotel rooms, and 200,000 square feet of new retail space.
The Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District is a nonprofit organization established to enhance the quality of life for residents, visitors, employees, and property owners.
